Australia is officially the second most popular study abroad destination, according to a 2017 global survey conducted by HSBC. And to be honest, we're not shocked by the result.

1. Enjoy the unique wildlife

2. Work while you wander
Unlike a lot of other countries, once you secure a student visa in Australia you're free to work in the country as well. The position can reach a maximum of 40 hours a week and will need to be a basic skill job - such as cashier or waitress - but this visa addition allows you to earn some extra money to finance all your overseas adventures!
Bonus: Getting a part-time job is a cool way to meet new people outside of your university!
3. Did we mention the beaches?
Seriously, Australia is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the whole world. And there's an abundance of them - there are over 10,600 beaches across the country.
